What are Sky Mobile MMS settings?
MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) lets you send picture messages, video clips and audio files as text messages. To send and receive MMS on Sky Mobile, your phone needs the correct MMSC address, MMS proxy and MMS port values configured in the APN settings. Without these, picture messages may fail to send, download or appear as empty boxes.
MMS setup checklist
The MMSC address must stay on http:// — https:// stops picture messaging outright
• The MMS Proxy field is an IP address only — no http:// prefix
• APN Type must contain mms (e.g.
default, supl, mms)• On Android, save then select the profile before testing
Setting up MMS on Android (Sky Mobile MMS Settings)
Go to Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Access Point Names. Tap your existing Sky Mobile APN or create a new one. Fill in the MMSC field, the MMS Proxy field, and the MMS Port field with the Sky Mobile values. Make sure the APN Type field includes mms (for example: default, supl, mms). Save and restart.

Sky Mobile's MMSC requires http://; https:// stops MMS entirely
• The MMS Proxy field is an IP address only — no http:// prefix
• APN Type must contain mms (e.g.
default, supl, mms)• On Android, save then select the profile before testing
Setting up MMS on iPhone (Sky Mobile MMS Settings)
On iPhone, MMS settings are part of the mobile data network settings at Settings → Mobile Data → Mobile Data Network. Scroll down to the MMS section and enter the Sky Mobile MMSC, MMS Proxy and MMS Max Message Size values. Tap the back arrow to save.
If the MMS section is missing on iPhone, go to Settings → Messages and make sure MMS Messaging is toggled on. If it remains greyed out, your iPhone carrier bundle may need updating — contact Sky Mobile.

Use http:// for the MMSC — the secure prefix breaks Sky Mobile picture messaging
Troubleshooting Sky Mobile MMS problems
If MMS won't leave the phone, check mobile data is on, MMSC/proxy values, and that mms is part of the APN type.
If downloads fail, a manual tap often helps — also check mobile data is on and Auto-retrieve MMS is enabled where available.
Blurry photos via MMS often result from the sender's device compressing them — WhatsApp or iMessage tend to work better.

MMS on Sky Mobile vs iMessage/WhatsApp
MMS file sizes are restricted (about 300KB-1MB) and heavily compressed. iMessage, WhatsApp and RCS-enabled Google Messages bypass this by sending over data.
