Three MMS settings control how your phone sends and receives picture messages. The MMSC address is http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc and MMS Proxy is mms.three.co.uk on port 8799. Most Android devices need these values entered manually; iPhones receive them via the carrier bundle automatically.

⚠ MMS requires an active mobile data connection. Picture messages cannot be sent over Wi-Fi only — mobile data must be enabled.
Android MMS Setup — Three
Android stores MMS settings in the APN (Access Point Names) section of mobile network settings — exact navigation varies by device maker.
Samsung (Galaxy devices)
- Open Settings › Connections › Mobile Networks › Access Point Names.
- Tap your existing Three APN to edit it, or tap + to create a new one.
- Set APN: three.co.uk.
- Enter MMSC: http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc.
- Enter MMS Proxy: mms.three.co.uk and MMS Port: 8799.
- Set APN Type: default,supl,mms.
- Tap ⋮ › Save, then select the profile by tapping the radio button next to it.
- Either a restart or an Aeroplane Mode toggle applies the new settings.
Pixel and other Android devices
- Open Settings › Network & internet › Mobile network › Access point names.
- Tap the + icon to add a new APN, or tap your existing Three APN to edit it.
- Enter every value from the table exactly as given, leaving unlisted fields blank.
- Tap the three-dot menu and select Save. Tap the radio button next to the APN to activate it.
- The phone needs a restart for MMS settings to apply.
⚠ Important: After tapping Save on Android, the APN is not yet active. You must tap the radio button (empty circle) next to the APN to activate it. The circle must be filled for the profile to be in use.
Three MMS on iPhone
iPhones receive MMS settings automatically via the Three carrier bundle. You generally do not need to enter them manually. If picture messages are not working on iPhone, follow these steps:
- Visit Settings › General › About to see if a carrier settings update prompt has appeared, and install it if so.
- Go to Settings › Messages and confirm MMS Messaging is toggled ON.
- Toggle Aeroplane Mode on for 15–30 seconds, then off, to re-register on the Three network.
- Restart the iPhone entirely and send a test picture message.
- As a further step, Settings › General › Transfer or Reset iPhone › Reset › Reset Network Settings can help — it clears saved Wi-Fi passwords too.
Note: On iPhones with iOS 16 or later, the APN field at Settings › Mobile Data › Mobile Data Network may be greyed out. This is normal — Three controls it via the carrier bundle. Contact Three to force a carrier profile update if needed.

Troubleshooting Three MMS
- Verify mobile data is on, as MMS traffic needs more than just Wi-Fi.
- Verify the MMSC value exactly: http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc, character for character.
- Verify the MMS Proxy and Port are mms.three.co.uk and 8799 — most stuck messages trace to one of these being incorrect.
- The APN Type should include mms in addition to default and supl.
- On Android, the radio button is what activates the APN; saving alone doesn't make it active.
- Check the messaging app's MMS toggle is on.
- After changes are made, give the phone a restart.
- The last resort is a network settings reset, then re-entering every field.
