⚠ MMS requires an active mobile data connection. Picture messages cannot be sent over Wi-Fi only — mobile data must be enabled.
Android MMS Setup — iD Mobile
Android handles MMS settings through the APN (Access Point Names) area of mobile network settings, though the menu path varies between brands.
Samsung (Galaxy devices)
- Open Settings › Connections › Mobile Networks › Access Point Names.
- Tap your existing iD Mobile APN to edit it, or tap + to create a new one.
- Set APN: data.id.
- Enter MMSC: http://mms.um.data.id:10021/mmsc.
- Enter MMS Proxy: mms.data.id and MMS Port: 8799.
- Set APN Type: default,supl,mms.
- Tap ⋮ › Save, then select the profile by tapping the radio button next to it.
- Either restart the phone or cycle Aeroplane Mode to apply the changes.
Pixel and other Android devices
- Open Settings › Network & internet › Mobile network › Access point names.
- Tap the + icon to add a new APN, or tap your existing iD Mobile APN to edit it.
- Copy all the values from the table above exactly, and leave anything not listed blank.
- Tap the three-dot menu and select Save. Tap the radio button next to the APN to activate it.
- A restart applies the new MMS settings.
⚠ Important: After tapping Save on Android, the APN is not yet active. You must tap the radio button (empty circle) next to the APN to activate it. The circle must be filled for the profile to be in use.
iD Mobile MMS on iPhone
iPhones receive MMS settings automatically via the iD Mobile carrier bundle. You generally do not need to enter them manually. If picture messages are not working on iPhone, follow these steps:
- Under Settings › General › About, an update prompt shows up if a carrier settings update is ready — tap to install.
- Go to Settings › Messages and confirm MMS Messaging is toggled ON.
- Toggle Aeroplane Mode on for 15–30 seconds, then off, to re-register on the iD Mobile network.
- Give the iPhone a complete restart, then test a picture message.
- If MMS remains broken, use Settings › General › Transfer or Reset iPhone › Reset › Reset Network Settings, noting it wipes saved Wi-Fi passwords.
Note: On iPhones with iOS 16 or later, the APN field at Settings › Mobile Data › Mobile Data Network may be greyed out. This is normal — iD Mobile controls it via the carrier bundle. Contact iD Mobile to force a carrier profile update if needed.
