EE MMS Settings UK 2026 MMS guide thumbnail

EE MMS settings control how your phone sends and receives picture messages. The MMSC address is http://mms/pict and MMS Proxy is 149.254.201.135 on port 8080. Most Android devices need these values entered manually; iPhones receive them via the carrier bundle automatically.

EE's MMS infrastructure is also used by MVNOs BT Mobile, Plusnet and Asda Mobile, since all three run on EE's network — a known EE-wide issue would affect them too.

EE MMS Settings

These values need to go into EE's APN profile exactly as shown — one wrong character stops picture messages from working.

Android MMS Setup — EE

On Android, EE's MMS fields live inside the same APN (Access Point Names) screen as the main internet profile settings. The exact menu path varies by manufacturer.

Samsung (Galaxy devices)

  1. Head to Settings › Connections › Mobile Networks › Access Point Names for the EE entry.
  2. Tap your existing EE APN to edit it, or tap + to create a new one.
  3. Set APN: everywhere.
  4. Enter MMSC: http://mms/pict.
  5. Enter MMS Proxy: 149.254.201.135 and MMS Port: 8080.
  6. Set APN Type: default,supl,mms.
  7. Tap the three-dot menu, choose Save, then select the radio button beside the new EE profile.
  8. A restart, or a quick Aeroplane Mode toggle, is what applies the change to EE's connection.

Pixel and other Android devices

  1. Open Settings › Network & internet › Mobile network › Access point names for the EE profile.
  2. Tap the + icon to add a new APN, or tap your existing EE APN to edit it.
  3. Copy every value from the EE table above precisely, and leave anything not listed blank.
  4. Open the overflow menu and hit Save, then tap the radio button next to the EE APN to activate it.
  5. Restart the phone once the EE MMS values are saved to make them active.
⚠ Important: After tapping Save on Android, the APN is not yet active. You must tap the radio button (empty circle) next to the APN to activate it. The circle must be filled for the profile to be in use.

EE MMS on iPhone

iPhones receive MMS settings automatically via the EE carrier bundle. You generally do not need to enter them manually. If picture messages are not working on iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Check Settings › General › About — a prompt appears there if EE has a carrier settings update ready to install.
  2. Check Settings › Messages to make sure MMS Messaging is switched on before testing EE picture messages.
  3. Toggle Aeroplane Mode on for 15–30 seconds, then off, to re-register on the EE network.
  4. Fully restart the iPhone and send a test picture message over EE afterwards.
  5. Still no MMS on EE: Settings › General › Transfer or Reset iPhone › Reset › Reset Network Settings — this wipes saved Wi-Fi passwords along the way.
Note: On iPhones with iOS 16 or later, the APN field at Settings › Mobile Data › Mobile Data Network may be greyed out. This is normal — EE controls it via the carrier bundle. Contact EE to force a carrier profile update if needed.

Troubleshooting EE MMS

  1. Confirm mobile data is on — MMS needs an active data connection; Wi-Fi alone won't send or receive picture messages.
  2. Double-check the MMSC address matches http://mms/pict exactly, with no stray spaces.
  3. Verify MMS Proxy and Port: 149.254.201.135 / 8080 — an incorrect value here is a very common cause of stuck messages.
  4. Check APN Type includes mms as well as default and supl.
  5. Confirm activation on Android by checking the radio button is filled — saving alone won't activate it.
  6. Verify the messaging app has MMS enabled, whether that's Google Messages or Samsung Messages.
  7. A restart after any changes ensures they take full effect.
  8. As a final step if nothing works, reset network settings and start fresh.
  9. Call EE on 150 (free from EE) or 0800 956 6000 if the fault persists after all of the above.
